What We’ve Been Up To…
Here’s a list of everything we have accomplished since the last newsletter:
Drafted an email to local NH representatives to stand in opposition of the NHSCA defunding, letter below;
Had our first successful twitch stream (many thanks to all who showed up);
Made an E-Board application to hire the remaining board members needed (opening tomorrow the 25th);
Finalized our Kickstarter (opening April 27th!);
Created more content for our social media platforms;
Finalized our initial purchases like font licenses;
Starting planning out events towards the end of the year;
And celebrated 500+ followers on our Instagram.

As we grow this amazing community, we find we need a little help. Our Kickstarer goal is $2000. This might seem like a lot, but it would fully incorporate us as a non-profit, meaning we can begin to offer services as soon as possible. We ask that you donate, if you are able. Even $1 can help so much!

Our letter in opposition to the defunding of the NHSCA

We at the Creative Artists of New England (a prospective non-profit), also known as CANE, have witnessed the decline of arts personally…. Read Full Letter HERE.
On March 31st, the New Hampshire House Finance Committee voted to defund the NHSCA (see our news section below for the full article on this decision). We at CANE are extremely appalled by this decision, and we will work towards helping amend this bill for the future. In the interim, if you are a New Hampshire resident, we urge you to reach out to your local representative and ask them to propose amendments to the budget bills to fund the NHSCA. The fight for arts in New Hampshire is going on now, and your help is needed. See the news article below for a template to send to your representative.
