Being a part of the original thirteen colonies, New England has a long history that we want to share… Here at CANE, we want to know what legends, folklore, myth, and/or cryptids from New England intrigue YOU (or maybe even SCARE you…) 

RULES: 

One month, six prompts: Make some art that revolves around folklore, myths, legends, and cryptids from New England- it doesn’t have to be a state you live in! Each state will have FIVE days each- but don’t worry about posting during that timeframe. Post whenever you can. On the last day, Halloween, give CANE a surprise and draw ANYTHING you want! 

Any medium is accepted (visual arts, dance, music, writing, etc.) Just no GenAI, under any circumstances… Don’t forget to tag your posts with #canefolktober AND what prompt your posting for: #canefolktobermaine, #canefolktobernewhampshire, #canefolktobervermont, #canefolktoberconnecticut, #canefolktobermassachusetts, #canefolktoberrhodeisland, and #canefolktoberfreeday.

All entries will be shared on our Instagram stories, and our favorite pieces will be reposted to our Instagram page and creators tagged, at the end of each section.
